Senior Yoga Group

My vision for senior yoga is simple: all seniors leave the stresses and busyness of life behind, refocus on themselves, become stronger and more flexible, and cultivate kindness and compassion.

To be accepting of yourself as you are today isn’t always easy—there may be times you feel like quitting. When those doubtful thoughts arise, override them. To be free, we must let go of negativity and take the first step: showing up for a relaxing, stress‑free yoga class filled with positive energy.

Practice bravery so your destiny can be fulfilled with joy, love, and great health—both mentally and physically. Even after 25 years teaching yoga, I still feel like a beginner every time I walk into the studio. There is no end to the wonderful experiences of yoga.

Every day is an opportunity to learn something new—not just inside the yoga room, but out in nature, listening to birds chirp. I have a friendly woodpecker that wakes me at 6:30 AM—if he can start pecking away, I can get up and begin my day too.

So I ask you: get out of bed, move beyond thoughts of “my knee hurts,” “my back aches,” or “my shoulder hurts.” Even if you’ve had a knee replacement, rotator‑cuff repair, or hip replacement, yoga is for you. Just come to yoga—I’ll help you every step of the way.
